HORSE AUCTION

SUNDAY, AUGUST 12, 2007 11 AM

For over 400 years, this beautiful horse has been bred to carry his rider quickly, smoothly, and elegantly over all kinds of terrain.  With its four-beat lateral gait, the Peruvian Paso is the smoothest ride in the world!  Its ancestors were the horses of the Spanish Conquistadors, brought to Peru to conquer the new world.

The average height of the Peruvian Paso horse is between 14 and 15 hands, providing a horse that is easy to mount and dismount.  He has a willing nature and a desire to please.

A relatively rare breed, there are about 35,000 Peruvian Pasos in the world.

The smooth, four-beat gait of the Peruvian Paso is passed 100% to its offspring.  His forelegs move in a swimming motion, called "termino".

The wide-eyed, high-stepping eagerness of the Peruvian Paso is natural, whether performing before a crowd, or heading out on the trail.  The long, lush mane and tail are kept natural, and  enhance the beauty of the ultimate pleasure horse.
